Acryl, Lacquer, Medium and Pigments
on Digitally painted prints on Panel.

In this series, I look for the artificial, sometimes immaterial painting. I try to digitally convert the logic and nature of the medium of painting, here through a print. The depth of the tradition and the craftsmanship of the medium of painting must never be lost during this metamorphosis. The digital files are only finished when they are accepted as a painting in itself. Furthermore, the boundary between craft and automation is explored. To what extent can automation lead to authentic work?

The digital file is already a painting in itself; however, it can be printed, woven in a tapestry... It is therefore furthermore a question of handing over the file and having it carried out by other craftsmen. Or to discern to what extent the viewer accepts the 'painting without paint' as a painting. Then, I find out how I can achieve the illusion of the painted and/or printed by actually painting some parts. After all, it is always about leading the viewer astray.

Here the story manifests itself through the open symbolism of the tarot deck. The story is created by the relationship between the different cards. The works thus acquire meaning thanks to their constellation in space.
